One Year Writing in the Margins
Founder | Would you give students one year of your life if your love of writing could inspire them for the rest of theirs? One Year Writing in the Margins is an initiative challenging teachers and writers to spend one year facilitating creative writing workshops in at-risk communities.

PEN Prison Mentoring Program
Mentor | Through individual mail correspondence, mentors—who are committee members, working writers, or MFA students—provide careful criticism, tips on craft, and guidance in the fundamentals of grammar to incarcerated people around the country.

Member | Artists at Risk Connection (ARC) safeguards the right to artistic freedom of expression and ensures that artists and cultural professionals everywhere can live and work without fear. Our ultimate goal is to address the needs of artists at risk and the organizations that serve them.

404 Found Arts Residency
Advisory Council Member | The 404 Found creative writing residencies serve emerging writers from migrant, formerly incarcerated, 'aged out' foster youth, and other communities in the Pacific Northwest and California through artistic and personal transformation. The 404 Found Arts Residency is specifically for artists who otherwise may not have access to such experiences and support.

The Southern Collective Experience
Advisory Board Member | An organization of and for artists who see a need for ongoing professional support among creative peers. Members contribute their gifts and talents to advance the organization’s activities, which include gatherings, readings, exhibitions, performances, publishing, and promotional opportunities through social media and networking. The arts journal The Blue Mountain Review and a radio show, Dante’s Old South, are produced under the Collective’s auspices.
